Hey, I’m Isaias Irizarry: writer, tinkerer, coder, tech whisperer, poet, and lifelong seeker of thrills, growth, and beauty. From the first time I held a pen, I’ve been writing; from the first circuit I touched, I’ve been building. Writing and tech, including electronics, code, hardware, and networks, have always been my passions, two sides of the same drive to create, understand, and leave a mark on the world.
I moved to Chicago when I was five, wide-eyed and curious, and three years later I won 3rd place in the Chicago Young Authors Award for a story called Ghost Island. That early recognition lit something in me, a love for storytelling that has only grown as I moved between Chicago and Puerto Rico, carrying my notebooks, laptops, circuits, and ideas across cities and coasts.
By day, I fix and build things: phones, tablets, laptops, networks, code. If it has a circuit, a line of code, or a signal, I’ve probably brought it back from the dead. By night, or whenever the muse strikes, I write. Sometimes it’s technical deep dives into ssh, tcpdump, or full-stack projects. Other times it’s poetry, essays, and reflections on growth, healing, and the messy, magical process of rebuilding, both devices and yourself.
I love love, always have, always will. Women, words, adrenaline, sunsets, and plants, including Musas, calamansi, and all the special greenery that fills a home with life, are the forces that shape my world. Climber, rider, surfer, horseman, dog lover, gardener, part lantern in the dark, part match, always moving, always feeling, always building.
This blog is my lab, my journal, my open window into a life lived fully awake. Stick around, you might learn a trick or two, share a thrill, or just vibe with the journey.
